Massage & Reflexology
I have been practising for over twelve years as a massage therapist and am insured through the Complementary Therapy Association with qualifications through ITEC [International Therapy Examination Council]. I practice holistic massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, Thai yoga massage, facial rejuvenation, pregnancy massage and hopi ear candling. I am also a deep tissue therapist – with advanced training to treat neck, shoulders, pelvis and hip –through the Jing Institute.
I also use hot and cold stones that aim to give a deeper treatment; alleviating tension in muscles and calming the mind whilst balancing the body. I specialise in manual lymphatic drainage in order to boost the immune system, alleviate oedema, reduce scar tissue and improve sinus conditions.
I teach massage courses in Central London as well as locally in South East London colleges.
Aromatherapy is a wonderful form of massage using essential oils which are added to a carrier oil; having a powerful effect on the body and mind – may be calming, reduce stress or anxiety, restorative, aid insomnia, ease aches and pains, joint aches and uplifting.
The selection of essential oils for an aromatherapy treatment is based on the client’s scent preferences and importantly on their mental and physical health conditions and which oils will benefit their individual condition.
Aromatherapy oils may provide psychological benefits as inhaling essential oils stimulates the olfactory system, linked to our emotions, thus having an uplifting effect on the body.
