How I Can Help

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a wonderful form of massage using essential oils which are added to a carrier oil; having a powerful effect on the body and mind – may be calming, reduce stress or anxiety, restorative, aid insomnia, ease aches and pains, joint aches and uplifting.

The selection of essential oils for an aromatherapy treatment is based on the client’s scent preferences and importantly on their mental and physical health conditions and which oils will benefit their individual condition.

Aromatherapy oils may provide psychological benefits as inhaling essential oils stimulates the olfactory system, linked to our emotions, thus having an uplifting effect on the body.

Lymphatic Drainage & Reflexology

Lymphatic drainage massage offers a fantastic boost to the immune system as it constantly filters toxins and removes waste by using slow rhythmic, light pressured, massage towards the subclavian veins.  Used in weight loss, scar tissue, post surgery and de-tox; a particularly powerful treatment which stimulates the para sympathetic system.  LMD may be used for bruising and sprains/strains where no other treatment is possible.

Reflexology aims to balance the body promoting relaxation, activate healing and improving waste disposal within the body.  Used on feet or hands when the client is fully clothed.

Massage

I practice holistic and deep tissue massage, pregnancy and post-natal massage and support, Indian head massage, sports techniques – advanced training qualified by Jing Advanced Massage Training which will increase circulation, relieve muscle knots and restrictions whilst improving movement.

Tsubo facial rejuvenation, Thai Table massage. and hopi ear candling.   I use Hot and Cold stones using basalt and marble stones in order to achieve a deeper treatment and alleviating tension within the muscles.

Indian head massage aims to increase joint mobility, stiffness and improve neck and arm flexibility whilst encouraging range of movement; boosting energy and mental clarity and relaxation.

Massage releases muscle tension, aiding nutrients and oxygen to the area improving circulation and skeletal flexibility as well as removing lactic acid and encouraging muscle tissue relaxation. Deep tissue massage will break down muscle adhesions and knots, reduce muscle weakness and discomfort, and restore increased movement.
